Arabic term or phrase: الجلسات ......... الأمثال
These are column headings in the transcript of a medical student from a Syrian university. Under جلسات different subjects are listed (e.g. جلسة الطب اليشري), and under أمثال there is a corresponding number and a grade. This could be "Seminars and case studies" for example, or something else altogether. If there is someone familiar with transcripts from this country, I would appreciate their help.

Rotations........Credit Hours (or units)
Explanation:
Dr. Badi' Al-Akesh is a colleague and a friend of mine at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, and used to work for me in the Language Assistance Department. He graduated from Damascus University with a similar degree. I consulted with him this morning, and this is what he told me:

AL-JALSAT are rotations. JALSAT AL-TIBB AL-BASHARI is "Human Medicine Rotation" ("Human" is not realy necessary).

AL-AMTHAL are the credit hours (or units). This is the number by which you multiply the grade.
