Belarusian to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature

Hallo! I'm translating from Polish and my author (Wat) used the word "putchkatch". Does it remind you of any word in byelorussian?
I have 2 ideas (thanks to my dictionaries and Prozians of other pairs), but I'd like to have your opinion.

Paola Dentifrigi (asker) Sep 13, 2005: Thank you, I just wanted to be sure it's not Byelorussian.It's no misprint either. It's a word probably invented by my Polish author.
Volha K Sep 12, 2005: Hi, I Aree with Yuri, this word is not belarussian. Probably it's just a misprint. If you add some context, then we could try to find it out.
Yuri Smirnov Sep 11, 2005: Have had ("a look there"). Found no traces that could lead to the solution except for "slowotworczos'c' Wata". Anyhow, it's not a Belarusian nor a Russian word. I am 100% confident of that.
