A evo sta kaze i najmeritorniji izvor, Rjecnik turcizama u srpskohrvatskom jeziku Abdulaha Skaljica : basluk - muslimanski nadgrobni spomenik (uspravan istesan kamen ili siljak, dascica pobodena vise glave na grobu umrlog).
Buduci da se radi o pogrebnoj opremi (a ne spomeniku) u Vasem tekstu je rijec o toj zasiljenoj dasci koja se stavlja da obiljezi grob - najcesce privremeno - do (eventualnog) podizanja spomenika tj. nisana.
Zato bih se odlucila radije za grave marker, a ne tombstone, jer tombstone vise asocira na (pravi) spomenik ili nadgrobnu plocu.
