Urine pregnancy test and serum tumour markers were negative. A clinical diagnosis of twisted ovarian cyst was made. Contrast enhanced spiral CT scan of the thorax, abdomen and pelvis revealed an enlarged lobulated uterus with a large (17.1 x 16.0 x 20 cm) fairly oval central hypodense lesion (30 – 70 HU) stretching the myometrium (Figure 1).
