Catalan to English translations [PRO]
Art/Literary - Science (general)
Catalan term or phrase: dirs.
I thought this may have meant "lead investigators", from director, but that would be
investigador principal. Now I have no idea. It's a footnote: the authors' names followed by their paper. It's a paper on transparency, good governance, accountability, etc.

In Catalonian "directors", as in Spanish "directores".

In this context,

(de un periódico, una revista) editor
(de un periódico, una revista) editor in chief

Usually there should be a "senior editor" or "lead editor", but the paper may have several sections authored or "edited" by these (quote) "directors" (unquote), which are simply "editors" in English.

Your context may give you more clues, as in "investigators", but it seems to me that "editors" is a safe assumption.

Good luck.
