For rent

Comes from the infinitive verb 'llogar' - to rent.

Commonly seen on signs in apartment and office windows.

    diccionari de la llengua catalana.

lloguer és el nom del verb llogar. Per exemple, "to rent a flat" és "es lloga un pis" però "how much is your rent?" seria "quan pagues de lloguer?"

rent or hire...

If you want to rent something say "Vull llogeur un cotxe" (Car) etc..

Which you'd say somethiong like "Bwee lyuger un cotcha" ;-)

Good luck and welcome to Catalonia!
