Chinese term or phrase: 骨骼与人骨
Hi, I don't understand the difference between these two terms in archaeology. Is there a difference or can they be used interchangably? I'm translating "骨骼" as "bone structure" and "人骨" as "skeleton." Is this right? 先谢了！

agree  orientalhorizon: the original Chinese are an imprudent or somewhat mistaken phrasing, should be animal bones and human bones, or just bones and human bones, or bones, some human ones.

  -> I agree with you. I think by 骨骼 the original text is refering to bones from either human or animals. A plain 骨 should be good enough in meaning. The author used 骨骼 instead of 骨 just to make the Chinese sound more balanced.

  -> Well, I didn't try to translate "骨骼与人骨" as a whole because I thought Carolina just put 骨骼 and 人骨 in one question to ask because both appeared in the text. If this actually is a phrase to translate. Well, I think "skeletal and human remains" is good.
