Chinese term or phrase: 吧了
「遠在天邊」的意思是很遠很遠吧了,不是真的在天邊。

I want to translate this sentence as "The phrase "heaven is far away " means that no matter how far you go, still you will not reach it". Notwithstanding, I am troubled by several points of grammar. This is a three part question:

Question 2: What is the meaning of 吧了 in this context? Am I correct to think of these two characters together as once expression?

The expression 罢了does not appear in my dictionary, but I was able to find the 而已. Now all I have to understand what 吧了means here. It certainly was not a typo.
