Kupica je deminutiv... i to isključivo u kajkavskom dijalektu ...
a nije (tako) mala da bi služila za "shots" ('kratka pića') ... dapače ...

iz kupice se pije VINO .. a ima najmanje 3 dl pa sve do 1 litre .. negdje i do dvije litre :o)

U osnovi, isto što i "cup" ... isti latinski korjeni ...

Hrvatska riječ je VRČ ... (zato glasam za nju)

Da još nešto ... nemre biti GLASS...
Jer originalna "kupica" nije iz stakla nego iz gline ... kao i one tegle u kojima su neke bake (po kajkavksu: "babice") nekad, a još i danas, kiselile mlijeko iz koga su naknadno dobivale isti onaj "puter" kaj ga i denes prodajeju u Zagreb, na Dolcu i po ostalim tržnicama .. a i po stanovima ...

i NIJE rečeno da "kupica" nema ručke ... ima ih i takvih, ali obično ima ručku ...

Čak, BILIKUM (pogledajte slike na Guglu) se smatra kupicom, a sastavljen je iz tri "kupice" s isprepletenim ručkama....

Pri domaćem pajdaškom stolu ne smije sjediti ni jedna osoba koja nije ispila bilikum. Naziv bilikum dolazi od njemačke riječi willkommen. Iskrivljujući izvorni oblik nastala je riječ bilikum koju obično većina ljudi povezuje s dvostrukom posudom. Tako se onda za vrč koji je obično sastavljen od tri dijela kaže trilikum što je potpuno neispravno jer riječ trilikum ne znači ništa. Bilikum je, dakle, bila svaka posuda iz koje se pila zdravica u čast dolaska u nečiju kuću. Najpoznatiji su bilikumi trodijelni na kojima je obično pisalo Čeh, Leh i Meh, a bilikum je mogla biti i najobičnija kupica. Da je ispijanje bilikuma bilo važno potvrđuje i činjenica da se takav podatak morao odmah unesti u "hižni protokol".
