Pause the summer, I can't keep up with the booze! Explanation: It makes sense to me when translated this way - in both the Czech and English version the wording implies reference to drinking alcohol. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 42 mins (2016-07-25 13:00:38 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Another note - in Australian context, in summer you actually have to drink a lot, because it is so dry and hot - so it is not necessarily just alcohol and parties... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 48 mins (2016-07-25 13:07:11 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Yes, I know - and beer is in most Czech pubs cheaper than anything else, including water (if it's bottled) :-) |

Of all the booze to get my fill, please make the summer stand completely still. Explanation: Please someone put the summer on hold while all the booze I want is still cold -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day1 hr (2016-07-26 13:22:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I am aware that you might not have been asking for something that rhymes, but I wanted to use some idioms that might fit the subject, rhyme or no rhyme :) |
