action to further one´s own cause Explanation: action to further their own cause - with whichever pronoun fits. This is an odd way of for,mulating it though, if it is supposed to have been carried out by the supervisory authority. I have never heard the expression before either! The normal collocation of selvhjælp is in the phrase ´hjælp til selvhjælp´ - help to self-help, which may in fact be what was meant. I don't know if this fits your context. Selvhjulpen means independent, able to cope on one´s own. Best of luck! |
