Danish to English translations [PRO]
Construction / Civil Engineering
Danish term or phrase: anlægsprojekt
The following clause seems to imply a distinction between "byggeprojekt" and "anlægsprojekt":

"... der er forskel på typen og udstrækningen af fælles sikkerhedsforanstaltninger i henholdsvis bygge- og anlægsprojekter."

Is a distinction being made between the construction of actual *buildings* (houses, skyscrapers, etc.) versus the construction of *facilities* (gas pipes, water mains, power plants, etc.)?

Or is my guess not quite right?

construction project

This requires a simple lookup in a Danish - English technical dictionary.
In my case, I looked it up in Ordbogsprogrammet published by (subscription payable).
Basically, an 'anlægsprojekt' could e.g. be a roads project, a bridge project or other similar civil engineering project whereas a 'byggeprojekt' is a building project.

I would maintain that while all building projects are construction projects, not all construction projects are building projects. In other words, building projects are a particular type of construction projects.

It will be interesting to see if someone else contributes with another alternative response.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for answering, but I'm doubtful that this answer works in the context above. "building project" and "construction project" are synonymous expressions (unless there is some formal distintion that I'm unaware of). In a sentence that explicitly contrasts "byggeprojekt" from "anlægsprojket", I think that at least one of the terms needs further specification beyond "building/construction project".
