Danish term or phrase: gule sedler
"Vi har i 2011 fået lavet forbedringer på vores gule sedler som skulle give bedre information vedr. instruktion om arbejdes udførelse, derudover har vi fast en som sørger for opsætning/nedtagning af p-skilte som også kunne forbedres."

I've been out of the corporate environment for a while now (and I spurn all things Windows when possible), so I'm at something of a loss on this one.

sticky notes

Explanation:
Sticky note is "a slip of notepaper having an adhesive strip on the back that allows attachment to and removal from a surface".

Usually they are yellow colour notepaper (^Post-it', for instance).

A definitive answer to your question of the day can be provided only by the firm or person who wrote the source text. However, the fact that 'gule sedler' is used in the source text prompts me to assume that this term is part of the firm's vocabulary.

Asker: Thanks, I'm quite familiar with them already. I have two brothers-in-law working for the firm that invented them. ;-) The question of the day is whether the firm behind the source text has adopted them as a figurative device for distributing short instructions.

work order

Explanation:
This is an easy one. The term is literally yellow, which is why the organization uses the term gule sedler, but the content is a work order, and how the work should be carried out.

I think it is because the paper is printed on is yellow, and when I was working as a blue collared guy breaking my back, communication between I and my manager and or foreman did not include complicated, precise words that can be found in text books. The text is worded so it can be understood by everyone, independent of their education.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Can you explain "which is why the organization uses yellow"? Is it customary? If so, can you cite other examples?

Asker: Sorry, I misquoted you inadvertently. Should be "which is why the organization uses the term gule sedler", of course.

agree  Lene Johansen: I think the yellow is just because the work order forms is on yellow paper, I seriously doubt it would be sticky notes, especially since the company is saying they have improved on the forms this year. Sticky notes are not customizable forms.
