Danish to English translations [PRO] Genealogy
Danish term or phrase:...efter Forevisning af Dobe- eller i alt Fald Vielsesattest eller ved Eftersyn.
Also from a parish register dating 1915-1920. The full sentence reads:
Foraeldrenes fulde Navn efter Forevisning af Dobe- eller i alt Fald vielsesattest eller ved Eftersyn i Kirkebogen...
I have: "Parents’ full names as per the baptismal or, in all cases, marriage certificate, or after examination of the parish register..." Does anyone have a more elegant solution?
Thanks Blangsted, for noting the usage in the States. I hadn't been sure whether one was preferable to the other. It appears that, like most things Canadian, either goes here, but the Canadian Genealogy Centre prefers "parish register." (http://www.lac-bac.gc.ca/genealogy/022-906.004-e.html)

Many thanks again; your version is, as hoped, far more eloquent!
