I have two boxes, one headed 'werknemer', the other 'beroep'. Under beroep the following appears:

What are the abbreviations in square brackets?

SNIP = snipperuren
TVT = tijd voor tijd
VAK = time spent on activities for vakbond or similar body??? [this one is a guess]

I'm not sure there is an essential difference between "SNIP" and "TVT": they both refer to time off in lieu of time worked over and above the contractually agreed number of hours a week. I could imagine that hours spent by union reps on union (or similar) activities are recorded under the same time code, hence my guess for VAK.

  -> Of course!! There's me thinking too much again :-) It's simply a running total of holiday entitlement, showing accruals and deductions since the last statement.
agree  vixen: VAK = vakantie, SNIP = snipperuur/dag; IMO the distinction VAK/SNIP has to do with duration, week(s) as opposed to hour(s)/day(s)

agree  jarry (X): Leave, too, can be taken up in days, even half days. The difference between SNIP and VAK, I think, is that "snipperdagen" occasional days off on full pay whereas leave is a statutory benefit.
