In België is kandidatuur vertaler 2 jaar en licentiaat tolk of vertaler 2 jaar.

Ik twijfel omdat Bachelor's degree normaal 3 jaar is terwijl kandidatuur vertaler 2 jaar is.
Ik denk dat wij toch de richtlijnen van het verdrag van Rome moeten toepassen en 'kandidaat vertaler' vertalen door B.A. en licentiaat door M.A.

Ik denk het niet. Zoals je zelf zegt, duurden de studies van kandidaat vertaler twee jaar, en die van "bachelor" duren drie jaar. Je kan dus m.i. "kandidaat vertaler" niet door "bachelor" vertalen. Het is een ander diploma.

Ik denk het niet. Zoals je zelf zegt, duurden de studies van kandidaat vertaler twee jaar, en die van "bachelor" duren drie jaar. Je kan dus m.i. "kandidaat vertaler" niet door "bachelor" vertalen. Het is een ander diploma.

agree  writeaway: usually it is best to keep the original and offer a brief explanation. suggest using diploma/degree awarded after 2 years of study, diploma/degree awarded after 3 years of study (for Asker's info)

agree  Lawyer-Linguist: with Writeaway here - just find it rather inconsistent that the same attitude wasn't adopted in the "Meester" question a few days ago when again true equivalents didn't exist.....
