think outside the box Explanation: I think the English version would be "can't see past/beyond the end of your nose", meaning self-involved, but I don't think there is an absolute opposite in English where you CAN see past the end of your nose. In this context, thinking outside the box seems to be a popular expression meaning that you are not rigid, but flexible and can use your imagination.
