has been sending Explanation: Hi Nathalie, 'Has been sending' is the right choice. 'Is sending' is a typical 'error' made by Dutch native speakers. I am not too hot in explaining grammatical points but here goes: Is is used for a present tense action i.e. he is going to the market (that is now) But if we say 'he has been going to the market' this means that although he is still doing this the actual time span in the past is longer and probably a repeated action. Therefore something he does on a weekly basis for, say, the last 10 years. Does this make any sense? I hope so! Greetings, Marijke |
