Dutch term or phrase: wafel (photo lithography)
Hi
I am currently working on a translation regarding photo lithography from Dutch into English and the term "wafel" is used in the following context "... gedurende deze tijd kan de wafel niet belicht worden".

I assume it deals with the exposure of images but I would like to have the correct terminology and I wonder if someone can help me.

Thanks very much!

English translation:wafer
Explanation:
The word you are looking for is "wafer". I found it on a webpage regarding photo lithography (http://www.bco-technologies.com/technology/photomask/). "Photolithography is the process of applying a layer of Ultra Violet (UV) sensitive photoresist to wafers and exposing it using a mask in order to transfer a pattern to the wafer. The exposed photoresist ca be used as a blocking mask for subsequent processes such as deep silicon etching, oxide etching or implantation."

Good luck with your translation :)
