Dutch term or phrase: onder belasting schakelbare versnellingen
This is about a John Deere 6010 agricultural tractor adapted for use in passenger transport around a park. The full phrase is:
Transmissie: Power Quad met vier onder belasting schakelbare versnellingen en vier voorkeuze groepen.
It's the 'onder belasting' bit that I'm not sure how to translate. Perhaps somebody knows a ready-made term? Thanks in advance to all who reply!

constant mesh
Explanation:
The only gearboxes which are "onder belasting schakelbar" are those which are of "constant mesh" design. You find them today in motorcycles and the most expensive sport and competition cars.

"Constant mesh" means that the cogwheels are engaged all the time; one pair works, the others idle.

I do not know the vehicle/gearbox you refer to but either it was a constant mesh design or a dishonest claim.

Thanks Sven, and to the others who responded. Sven did seem the most knowledgable. I hope to be more knowledgable about mechanics when I complete a motorcycle maintenance course later this Spring!
Good luck to you all. Claro

constantmesh not correct translation

Explanation:
I'm afraid constant mesh doesn't mean you can shift gear under load conditions, that's why we have clutches on motorcycles and motor vehicles i.e. one has to disengage the load from the engine, before being able to change gear. Being able to shift gear under load requires a different mechanism and is something quite specific. This is why it got a special mention.
