spint = red spider mite

Kaori:
I think the Dutch word \"of\" has here the meaning of \"ofwel\", so \"spint\" and \"mijt\" have (nearly) the same meaning.

Linguistically, albyrnum would be possible, but it doesn\'t seem logical to me. Could a flower suffer from alburnum? Don\'t think so. I\'d give the third possibility Van Dale gives \"web\" (of a red spider mite / spinning mite) a slightly higher chance than alburnum. But I\'m a boor in every meaning, no botanist.
