Dutch term or phrase: liet een verlies zien
Really, my question is just whether it is right to use 'fall' for 'verlies' when talking about the stock market, e.g.
'de verliezen voor de Dow Jones Industrials bleven nog bescheiden. De Nasdaq Composite-index liet een verlies zien van xx' And I'm struggling to come up with a solution I like for 'laten zien' - suggestions anyone?
