Dutch term or phrase: ministeries in het engels
Hi everyone,

This is the best community of colleagues ever! Thanks so very much for all your help. Here's a new set of questions (coming up). It starts with names of Ministries. I need official versions, no guesses, please. Many many thanks!

ministeries van V&W, VROM, LNV en VNO-NCW
Cynthia Brals-Rud
Local time: 20:56
Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment
Explanation:
* VROM: Ministerie van Volkshuisvesting, Ruimtelijke Ordening and Milieubeheer

Go to their website at:
www.minvrom.nl/minvrom/pagina.html?id=1306
to see how they officially translate it (as above / not 'Physical Planning')

* LNV: Ministery of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries

Go to: www.minlnv.nl/international for confirmation

If you're looking for all the Dutch ministries, go to:

www.minvrom.nl/minvrom/pagina.html

and click op 'andere ministeries'.

E.g. Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat (V&W - Transport & Public Works (in England: Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Works)), Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur & Wetenschappen (OCW) etc

You'll get an overview of all their ministeries; just click on any of the ministeries and you'll be brought to the website needed (with -usually-official English translations).
This will also help you with your other questions.

www.vno-ncw.nl/english/index.htm takes you indeed to the site already mentioned - not a ministry.

Have a nice weekend.
