Dutch term or phrase: in portefeuille nemen
I am currently working on an annual report, and am having problems with the above phrase.

The sentence is as follows:

De verruimde kredietopneming, gefacilieerd door de nieuwe huisbankier, [...] Bank NV te België, heeft geleid tot hogere rentelasten. De voor Drent negatieve tendens in de voorfinanciering door afnemers van in portefeuille genomen orders, zal zich in de toekomst doorzetten.

Any suggestions welcome - KudoZ points will be awarded asap.

Many thanks,

Pikey

English translation:The tendency - detrimental to Drent - of customers financing
Explanation:
orders in advance is set to continue in the future.

Orders in hand = the entire order book. "Genomen" suggests that rather than the entire order book, only some orders are involved in this advance financing.
