Volgens de o-NEN5707 is hechtgebondenheid een factor die aangeeft hoe goed (slecht) asbestvezels in een materiaal zijn gebonden. De hechtgebondenheid wordt uitgedrukt in een kwaliteitsfactor die wordt bepaald d.m.v. de zogenaamde glaspareltest (zie hiervoor de ontwerp"NEN 5896).

\"bound\" is used for binding in the sense of tying up. \"bonded\" is used for things that stick or glue to another. I do not think that abestos gets packaged with strings. ;-)
