Signed by Mr.... Landrechter (district judge) Explanation: In Nederland was de term landrechter in elk geval al in 1793 in gebruik. Zie: '...benoemd tot landrechter van Schouwen' in http://members.home.nl/m.v.boven/zierikze.htm Werd later gebruikt als titel voor o.m. koloniale ambtenaren en zo vermeld in o.m. het stamboek der Indische Ambtenaren : 'landrechter bij het Landgerecht in Batavia' (begin 20ste eeuw) in www.antenna.nl/~~daktari/kw-iha.htm en www.kb.nl/infolev/ing/rgp/werkbest/bwn/lemmata/blom-t.htm Daar het hier een specifieke (oud-)nederlandse titel betreft, zou ik dit niet vertalen (leave it as such) en gewoon tussen haakjes bv.
