Dutch to English translations [Non-PRO]
Dutch term or phrase:Westenwind en regenvlagen komen raz de menzen plagen
a set of four blue, Delft, tiles which illustrate the four seasons
Explanation: It is a short poetic description of one of the seasons, probably autumn (but Dutch weather can be like that all of the time!):
"Western winds and downpours come swift to plague the people" but then more poetic than that!
In the Dutch above 'vlagen' and
'plagen' rhyme, of course.
