Dutch term or phrase: "groene" MBO
This is from a text by a firm specialising in indoor plant supply and maintenance. The relevant section states: 'De servicemedewerkers hebben minimaal een "groene" MBO opleiding voltooid.'
Does anyone have an exact, official translation, or failing that the official title for this course?
Thanks in advance.

"green" secondary education
Explanation:
MBO = middelbaar beroeps onderwijs = intermediate vocational education
"groen" is green, but that is not an "official" descirption for an educational course. So I think they mean gardening/agricultural/environmental all in one (the author is not being very formal in your context).
That si why I chose the above combination - it covers all, withoput losding the tone of the original. "a 'green' intermediate vocational education" would sound a little tortured, no? And an if you replace 'green' with gardeing, or agricultural etc. that doesnt cover everything either.

vocational gardening or agricultural diploma

Explanation:
With "groene MBO" they mean a group of MBO schools that all have in common that the work with gardens or plants; they tend to have different names in different towns, for instance: "Middelbare Tuinbouwschool", "Middelbare Agrarische School", "Middelbare Land-en Tuinbouwschool"; their might be even something like "Middelbare Tuin- en Parkonderhoud school". In US English you would call that a vocational gardening pr agricultural diploma. I don't know how they call that in UK English.

2 hrs
associate degree in horticulture

Explanation:
horticulture - tuinbouw, hovenierskunst

This is for US use. I don't believe there are "master gardeners" in the US, sounds very British to me.
