Specific context & terms:
under the heading 'in of nabij explosiegebied' there is the following phrase: 'proces tegen expl. gr./instr. of inert' .

Clearly this has something to do with the process being xxxx against explosion / xxxx or inert.

Any good ideas?

As for "instr.", typically this would stand for "instrument" (idem in English) but I suspect that it may stand for "instroming" which means "influx", but here again, I am not certain.

Many thanks, both of your ideas seem to be correct. A bit of googling suggests that the phrase, relieved of its telegraphic style, should read somehting like 'proces beschermd tegen explosiegevaar door instrumentatie of inert gas'
