according to Kluwer Groot Polytechnisch Woordenboek, a 'stans' is 'a (cutting) die'. Een binnenstans would then be an 'inner or internal (cutting) die'. Whether you use 'inner' or 'internal' depends on the context I guess. On the internet I also found the following definition of 'cutting die':

Cutting die (Mech.), a thin, deep steel frame, sharpened to a cutting edge, for cutting out articles from leather, cloth, paper, etc.
