داي صوديوم ميتا سيليكات Explanation: name of such chemicals are not to be translated -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 mins (2013-11-21 12:07:43 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- لو مصمم تترجمها ممكن تكون ميتاسيليكات ثنائية الصوديوم، بس ده غلط كترجمة تقنية. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2013-11-21 12:13:48 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- أي خدمة :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 days5 hrs (2013-11-23 17:22:22 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Why ميتاسيليكات ثنائية الصوديوم is wrong? According to ISO 2384 for Documentation - Presentation of translations: Formulae, equations, symbols and units are preferably not translated. Any modification should be mentioned in a translator's note. As a formula component, disodium metasilicate should be only transliterated to داي صوديوم ميتا سيليكات. If you choose to translate it, then you have to translate the entire term not only "di", so you have to translate metasilicate to السيليكا العليا also. This is, of course, totally wrong for a technical, accurate translation. HTH |
