Yes, I can't say but شامبانيا because there is no other transltion and most importantly, it's very famous and it can't by anymeans refer to sth else, but as you kindly said "cocktail" has many other meanings that's why I can't just translated as كوكتيل. As for "wind cocktail", it was the term I got directed to when i searched for "Champagne cocktail" and i saw that it could go becuase mainly "champagnne" is (wine) not (beer). As for the context: The chef was saying

(I am going to make "raspberry royal",

which is champagne with a little framboise and may be raspberry"

That is all I can provide. Still so far, I'd prefer شامبانيا مخففة till I get more information.

She doesn't want to use 'cocktail' as it is not Arabic, but 'champagne' is not Arabic too. Also, cocktail can have another meaning. Her definition is 'wine cocktail' not champagne, even though it includes champagne and both are alcohol.

"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_cocktail" that was the definition I got, I don't want to use the word cocktail (it's not Arabic). second, why nobody agrees with "شامبانيا مخففة"? I found as the article said that it's the wine (champagne) is the main ingredient and may be then some other drinks (or juices) added to. What do you think of that? Thanks.
