The silvicultural method that gradually removes the trees from a given stand by a series of partial cuttings over a relatively short period of time. Eventually all overstory trees are removed, resulting in an even-aged stand.

هي مجموعة من الأشجار تترك بدون قطع حتى تنثر بذورها وتقوم بتجديد الغابة من جديد وكذلك تقي تربة الغابة والبادرات الصغيرة من الشمس المباشرة وعادة ما تترك مجموعة من الأشجار القوية وتزال الأشجار غير منتظمة النمو والضعيفة وتعتبر طريقة غابة الوقاية أحد طرق القطع في الغابات حيث لا يتم قطع أشجار الغابة كلها مرة واحدة
