English term or phrase: de-tinted
"To clamp the tie for inserting or extracting, you would push this lever down, clamp the tie and then let off the lever. We have two levers that are de-tinted into the up position. These controls, the rail clamps for the rail and the jack cylinders to jack the rail up to extract or insert the ties."

From a description of railroad machine.
Note: "tie" here means the concrete/wooden bar inserted under the tracks of a railroad.
