English term or phrase: I am supposed to...
Or "I am not supposed to...". Is there a particular verb or phrase that conveys this meaning, that one "is supposed to" do something? I appreciate your help immensely!!!

4. (colloq.) zatrebati R (pf.) (tr.) to need; trebam olovku = I need a pencil

(the above is from Morton Benson dictionary which I think you might find very useful so maybe try to find a download for it)

Trebala bih da budem ljubazna (I'm supposed to/should be nice; kind)
Ne bih trebala da jedem slatkiše (I'm not supposed to/shouldn't eat sweets)

Šta da radim kad (on) ne sluša šta mu govorim?! What am I supposed to do when he's not listening to what I'm saying?!
