Hrvatskim je propisima zbog mogućih oboljevanja radnika od karcinoma nosa i nosne šupljine dopuštena ukupna koncentracija drvnih čestica bukovine i hrastovine od 3 mg/m3, a frakcija koja se udiše (respirabilne) od 1 mg/m3 .
