Jeg forstår det sådan, at en journalist skriver en artikel. Når den så bliver sat op til trykning, viser det sig, at der ikke er plads til det hele, så der skæres noget bort/redigeres. Dette bortskårne tekst er \"the overset\"/\"det over-opsatte\". Det er skåret bort i den trykte udgave, men kan stadig søges på af redaktøren...? Men jeg er ikke nogen mester i trykning, så jeg kan også være helt på Herrens mark. ;)
Derfor satte jeg confidence så lavt.

agree  NetLynx: Sidste tilføjelse, som jeg ikke kunne få plads til ovenfor: Adobe behøver ikke at have ret! Eksemplet viser, at en dygtig og tænksom oversætter er guld værd.

  -> Tak for det. Men, som sagt, så var det spekulation fra min side. Jeg er dog tilbøjelig til at give dig ret i, at overskudstekst lyder mere som noget, der er kasseret.

Sorry, my suggestion of "previously missed" was based on my mistake that the word "overset" was actually in Danish and just placed in the English sentence to show context. Obviously, my suggestion is no good.

Kunne det mon være den tekst, som ligger på et højere niveau, når man klikker sig ned gennem et antal valgmuligheder? Så kunne 'overliggende' eller 'højereliggende' være en mulig oversættelse, dækkende i min bevidsthed.
