English term or phrase: I.S. equipment
Whilst this means intrinsically safe equipment may be connected to the terminal, it does not preclude higher voltage/current equipment being connected to other terminals within the box.
Whilst these are normally partitioned and colour segregated, care must be taken as voltages of non I.S.
equipment may be sufficient for there to be a risk of electrocution.
The supply should be isolated prior to disconnection of non I.S.
field equipment.
