stabiliseren Explanation: Het gaat eigenlijk over Capacity firming, waarvan gezegd wordt: The variable, intermittent power output from a renewable power generation plant, such as wind or solar, can be maintained at a committed level for a period of time. The energy storage system smoothes the output and controls the ramp rate (MW/min) to eliminate rapid voltage and power swings on the electrical grid. Dus "Renewable firming" is dan "Stabiliseren van duurzaam opgewekt vermogen", en "will firm a utility scale solar farm" is dan "zal een zonne-energiecentrale stabiliseren". Dus ik ben het eens met freekfluweel. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day59 mins (2016-04-13 08:45:00 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Het systeem wordt robuuster gemaakt. "Verstevigen" is wat volgens mij letterlijk het meest in de buurt komt, maar ik heb niet gevonden dat het zo gebruikt wordt in deze context. Ik heb wel gevonden "veerkracht", maar dan zou het Engelse woord "resilience" moeten zijn. Reference: http://new.abb.com/substations/energy-storage-applications/c...
