English term

depones

English to Dutch Law/Patents Law (general) Geboorteakte
Ik heb gevonden dat "depone" betekent "een eed zweren", maar hoe vertaal je dit in de volgende zin: "XXX residing at XXX, who being solemnly sworn depones as follows: I, XXX, residing at XXX, do solemnly declare that:..."

Heb een probleem met "being solemnly sworn depones as follows"...

Het lijkt misschien dubbelop maar 'depone' is gewoon het juiste werkwoord hier als iemand onder ede staat (in plaats van 'to testify').
