This is from a patent and the description of the drawings of a drag embedded anchor. The figure shows a shackle stop with the shackle stopped. Any sailors out there?

... een pagina waar ze, ook al doet de naam het vermoeden, geen Engelse versie van hebben.
Dit is niet de enige vormvariant via google-plaatjes, dus al te zeer leg je je er niet mee vast.
Helaas kan ik geen fatsoenlijk plaatje bij de shackle stop zelf vinden, maar het principe zal wel afgedekt worden door de term kettingstopper. (en als je heel letterlijk wilt blijven kun je altijd nog de eerste ooit zijn die een "schakelstopper" gebruikt;)

agree  Jack den Haan: Zou wel eens kunnen, maar weet het ook niet zeker. Zekerheidshalve -- omdat het om een octrooitekst gaat -- zou ik bij eerste gebruik de bronterm tussen haakjes vermelden. Anders loop je de kans het halve octrooi onderuit te halen ;-)
