English term or phrase: Archaea
Woese proposed that life be divided into three domains: Eukaryota, Eubacteria, and Archaebacteria. He later decided that the term Archaebacteria was a misnomer, and shortened it to Archaea. Actually in persian text-books we have "دیرینه باکتریها" or "آرچ باکتری ها" or even "باکتری عمده" but none of these terms are an appropriate equivalent for more recent term of "Archaea".

Explanation:
Archaea is technically an accepted term in many languages. Just check the link bellow and you wil notice that many languages share atleast the "arch-" pronounciation (I don't know eastern asian languages) except the Arabic version which offers "الأوليات" which I believe is the same concept as "تک یاخته" in Persian and "Protozoa" in Latin. The Islandic term also translated it as "Forn (ancient) + baktería (bacteria)" which is the same as the suggested term in "دیرینه باکتری ها" in Persian.

Anyhow, I suggest using the original pronounciation with some modiffications. (the previously suggested "آرچ باکتری ها" is not a correct transliteration of ENGLISH term-maybe it's from another language)
