provinciale markt/jaarmarkt

County = distrikt, provincie, graafschap
Lots of fairs are being held in Flanders and people refer to these as '(lokale) jaarmarkt, tentoonstelling, beurs,...'.

If you use 'provinciale markt', you'll be sticking to your source text


Op 22 september 1952 kiekte onze fotograaf de eerste provinciale markt voor TBC-vrij kweekvee in Brecht in het noorden van het provincie Antwerpen. County Fair : a fair is seen here as a 'markt'. It is a time when everybody can buy things very cheap.
County means local. So a county fair is a local market on specific times and days where you can get cheaper things.
