Explanation:
Estropiée par l'embargo culturel, la valeur de marché de la peinture s'est effondrée.

"To hobble" veut dire "boitiller", boiter légèrement. Hobbled employé comme adjectif veut dire "crippled", et on peut traduire ça par "estropié" (altéré, déformé)
