agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: Altho' 1st are so rare that it is closer to "félicitaions du jury", a 2:2 being "bien" and a 3rd class degree being "assez bien"

agree  Medics: You're all wrong ! I have read in a book that a "first" means to have a 70% which is a 14/20 in France so a "mention bien" at least. This comes from an official source. Read the book "English for students" and you'll figure it out
