I'm writing a letter and am stumped about how to indicate that it seems appropriate to hear from someone as I'm getting ready to attend a conference where I met this person last year:

Comme c'est encore la saison de ALTA (American Literary Translators' Association), je trouve que c'est (apropos/good timing/appropriate) d'être en contact avec vous.
