"gamme unitonique" or "gamme par ton"

"Whole tone scale: Gamme par ton, gamme unitonique"

"Gamme unitonique : DO RE MI FA# SOL# LA#"

(this, by the way, is an excellent site that gives all the different scales with their names and definitions)

Another way to express it is "gamme par ton":

La gamme par ton.

(this scale is written with flats rather than sharps, but it is the same thing)

I personally prefer the expression "gamme unitonique", but the choice is yours.
