From what I have in my dictionary, the word "armature" would be used when dealing with condenser or dymamos, but the word "induit" would be used for a magneto. I propose the translation above, even though I can't find any example on the web. But there is an example in the case of optic fibres at this site: "les connexions La mise bout à bout des fibres par connecteur ou par épissure (fusion) nécessite un alignement des axes parfait, au risque de produire des pertes." http://www.fibrotelecom.com/infos_cablage/technologie/cables...
