Independent Power Producer

IPP = Independent Power Producer (IPP) = Unabhängiger Stromerzeuger

* Independent Power Producers (IPPs)

p. 456 - Independent Power Producers (IPPs) may or may not be cogenerators
Source: Combined Heating, Cooling & Power Handbook: Technologies & Applications : an ...

I P P = I n t e l l e c t u a l . P r o p e r t y . P r o t e c t i o n ... as suggested by Asker -- may be right

s e l f . g e n e r a t i o n = ? Self-Generation of leads by sales teams ?

Self-Generation of leads by sales teams is dead!
Too many companies put un-realistic expectations on their sales team to self-generate leads and deliver sales targets based on this. Sales teams naturally and rightly gravitate to protecting, developing and getting more business from existing customers

Reference: internet prospecting (and promotion/probing/presenting/...) / (process)

Reference information:
Further to the suggestion in the Discussion section [above] regarding "internal prospecting", another — similar — option related to generating sales leads is "internet prospecting".

It's not clear to me why that would be abbreviated as "IPP", rather than simply "IP" — unless to avoid confusion with "IP" meaning "intellectual property". Therefore "IPP" might stand for "internet prospecting and p____", although I haven't decided what the last word should be.

Examples of usage:

"Internet Prospecting
In my last article, I talked about the importance of creating an online presence. Specifically, the focus was on personal websites, which today have become even more important than a business card."

· High level of competency with regard to internet, periodical and internal prospecting."

"Internet Prospecting Links"

"As introduced in our Sales Productivity workshop, there are four-steps to uncovering new business opportunities:
· Telemarketing (Internet prospecting)
· Prospecting (Internet prospecting)
· The Initial Sales Call (the probing process)
· Presenting Solutions (the presentation process)"

"The [Five] P's of Event Marketing include participation, product/brand experience, promotion, probing, and prospecting"

From the latter two references, perhaps the missing word could be "presenting" or "probing" or "promotion"?
My impression is that promotion would be a more natural fit in connection with the internet.

Business development, prospecting and presentation skills."

"Prospecting and Presenting

"Account Manager Exam: PM & Organization Skills and Probing & Prospecting"
"Prospecting and probing. Develop an ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) plan for the company; [...]"

"In this lesson, learn how today’s most successful agents are leveraging social media for promotion and prospecting as you discover how Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram are the go-to channels for your social media strategy."

As the last reference shows, the order of the words could be exchanged too.

Anther option for the second P is "process", as in "internet prospecting process".

"[...] developing tracking and reporting tools to manage the internet prospecting process and provide transparency of daily activities"

Yet another alternative is that the first P word may be "periodical" (referring to newspapers and magazines), as in "internet and periodical prospecting".
However I didn't find an example of that usage.

Naturally the P word(s) might also go with "internal" instead of "internet".

Steffen Walter's suggestions of "program"/"programme" and "in-house" are also perfectly valid.

Two more options.

"Investment Prospecting Program (IPP)"

Maybe better:
"Chapter 18: In-Person Prospecting (IPP)
Nothing replaces being in the same room, face to face. –Peter Guber
An IPP call should only be used to supplement and compliment other forms of prospecting.
The Five-Step Hub-and-Spoke Technique
·Plan IPPs around preset appointments.

Referring to the same book chapter:
"Chapter 18
In–Person Prospecting
Book Editor(s): Jeb Blount"
"In‐person prospecting (IPP) is part of a balanced prospecting approach for outside sales reps. It works best for residential and B2B reps who work in a local territory and sell transactional to semicomplex products and services primarily to small and medium‐sized businesses where it is easy to walk in without bumping into a wall of security."
