English term

make-up

English to German Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Kühlgerät/Wasserverteilung

***make-up*** DN 40 bereitet mir Schwierigkeiten.

Näheres findet sich auf dieser Website:

Freue mich auf Eure Hilfe.
LG, Kristin

Very many thanks to all of you! :-) I went for ***Zusatzwasser***.

@opolt You are right.

Hi David ... ... I'm not sure I agree with your interpretation, how does it fit into the enumeration/list of categories at the top of the ref. page: "
Overview
Nozzles
Spray branches
Spray pumps
Strainers
Make-up
Pump piping
Clean out port
Sump sweeper piping"

Also, care to explain why exactly the reference to "DN 40" supports your interpretation?

I'm not saying that I've got a solution, or that yours is wrong.

For non-natives, this is obviously a tough nut to crack, and a textbook case of why one has to tread carefully as a translator ...

Danke!

Thank you!

Danke! Der Link zeigt es auch eindeutig: Schwimmer+Hebelarm+Durchgangsventil mit Rohrstutzen ND 40

Aufbau

Hi Kristin,

At first glance it looked to me like a general term to show what the kit consisted of: "Replacement kits typically include *(or are typically made up of)*: float valve, float ball and the appropriate float arm to suit the specific unit type. What about "Aufbau" as something suitably general?
